In January-May of this year, China's metallurgical coke production amounted to 210.37 million tons, an increase of 1.9% year-on-year, as announced by the National Bureau of Statistics of China (NBS).
During the specified period, the volume of raw coal production in China amounted to 1.98043 billion tons, having decreased by 0.3% year-on-year.
In May alone, China's metallurgical coke and raw coal production totaled 42.72 million tons and 397.22 million tons, up 1.1% and down 1.7% year-on-year, respectively.
