Scrap metal imports to Pakistan increased by 19.6 percent in May 2026 compared to April
Pakistan's scrap metal imports totaled 239,758 tons in May this year, up 19.6 percent from April and down 25.3 percent year-on-year, according to data released by Pakistan's Federal Bureau of Statistics (PFBS). The value of these imports in this month was $135.63 million, an increase of 16.2 percent month-on-month and a decrease of 11.2 percent year-on-year.
