Italian steel production increased by 3.1 percent in May 2026

According to the latest data from Federacciai, the Italian Federation of Steel Companies, in May 2026, Italy's crude steel production was 2.0 million tons, compared with 1.9 million tons in April and 3.1 percent more than last year. In the first five months of this year, unrefined steel production in Italy increased by 3.0 percent year-on-year to 9.6 million tons.

As for long products, the monthly output in May was 1.2 million tons, which is 0.4 percent more than a year earlier, while the output of flat products was
