The value of Turkey's iron and steel imports fell 12.1 percent year-on-year to $1.92 billion in May this year, according to preliminary foreign trade statistics compiled by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). In the first five months of this year, Turkey's import value of iron and steel totaled $9.35 billion, up 0.5 percent from the same period in 2025.
