According to the automobile market analysis conducted by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA), retail sales of passenger cars in China were 1.651 million units in June this year, down 21.0% year-on-year and 9.0% higher than the previous month.
In the first six months of this year, retail sales of passenger cars in China were estimated to be 8.75 million units, down 20.0 percent year-on-year.
According to the CPCA, China's NEV retail sales in June were estimated at 1.037 million units, down 7.0 percent year-on-year and up 9.0 percent month-on-month. In June, NEV market share reached 62.8 percent, exceeding 60 percent for the third month in a row.
China's NEV retail sales were estimated at 4.734 million units in the first six months of this year, down 13.0 percent year-on-year.
The market's structural inflection point confirmed, retreat trend clearly identified gasoline vehicles and the promotion of electric vehicles. NEV market share exceeding 60% for the third month in a row is seen as a leading indicator of a new trend.
