Finished steel production in Mexico increased by 5.2 percent in January-May this year to 7.61 million tons from 7.2 million tons in the same period in 2025, according to the country's National Chamber of Ferrous Metallurgy (CANACERO). In May, finished steel production increased by 18.1 percent to 1.57 million tons from 1.33 million tons in May 2025.
Total steel production in May increased by 34.9 percent to 1.3 million tons from 965,000 tons in May 2025.
