According to a regulatory filing by the company on Thursday, July 9, India's JSW Infrastructure limited will build a 52 million tonne per annum jetty to provide infrastructure support for JSW Steel limited's upcoming 13.2 million tonne new steel plant in the eastern state of Odisha.
According to a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges, JSW Jatadhar Marine Services Pvt Ltd, wholly owned subsidiary of JSW Infrastructure, has entered into a novation agreement with JSW Utkal Steel limited, a subsidiary of JSW Steel limited, which is executing the steel plant project.
The berth will be developed by JSW Jatadhar Marine under the Build, Own, Operate, Share and Transfer (BOOST) model at a cost of over $219 million.
Dedicated Marine The facility is expected to handle imports of key raw materials while facilitating the export and domestic movement of finished steel products, significantly reducing logistics costs and processing time, the company said.
