Four steel mills are included in the investment program
The updated business plan covers the investment projects of four companies within the framework of the Węglokoks Capital Group:
- Profile of Huta Pokój
- Huta Łabędy
- Walcownia Blah Batory
- Huta Pokój Konstrukcje
According to the statement, the revised plan has been adapted to current market conditions, the group's new business strategy and the goal of creating a strong, integrated steel segment.
The focus is shifting to profitability and operational efficiency
Wenglockx stated that the initial investment plan was prepared in a variety of market conditions characterized by high steel prices, high demand, and optimistic market forecasts. Due to the changing market conditions, the investment program has been revised accordingly. The updated business plan is aimed at increasing profitability and operational efficiency while strengthening the market positions of the group's steel companies.
The projects include improved logistics and production at Huta Pokój Profile, expansion of large diameter pipe production at Huta Łabędy, development of wear-resistant steel sheet production at Walcownia Blach Batory, and construction of a new steel structure production plant at Huta Pokój Konstrukcje.
Steel will become a strategic pillar
According to Węglokoks, the updated business plan is directly linked to the group's strategy for 2025-2030, which aims to gradually transform the company by reducing its dependence on traditional sources of income and expanding its fast-growing industrial activities. The company stated that the steel segment will be one of the key pillars of this transformation.
Wenglokox added that the broader restructuring program also includes measures to strengthen the group's asset base and value chain, with Guta Czestochowa becoming a strategic center for the production of semi-finished steel products.
