In the first six months of this year, Turkey's car exports totaled 462,552 units, down 12.3 percent, while passenger car exports fell 27.3 percent to 220,083 units. units, as per year. During the same period, the country exported 182,770 small trucks, up 13.1 percent year-on-year. During the reporting period, revenue from total exports of automobiles and components increased by 3.4 percent to $20.36 billion, and revenue from exports of passenger cars amounted to $5.36 billion, down 7.3 percent year on year.
In June, Turkey's total automobile imports were 70,464 units, down 24.3 percent year-on-year, and imports passenger cars amounted to 52,845 units, which is 25.7 percent less than last year. Between January and June this year, the country's total automobile imports were 381,408 units, down 15.0 percent, while passenger vehicle imports were 284,675 units, down 17.4 percent, compared to the same period in 2025.
