According to Secex, the foreign trade secretariat of Brazil's Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade, Brazilian rebar exports totaled 23,800 metric tons (mt) in June and imports stood at 4,200 mt in the same month, down from 37,200 mt and 14,600 mt, respectively.

All exports went to South American countries, on average $640/t FOB. ArcelorMittal shipped 9,400 tonnes at US$698 per tonne and Gerdau shipped 14,400 tonnes at US$601 per tonne.
Imports were from Egypt (3,900 tonnes listed at US$573 per tonne) and Russia (300 tonnes listed at US$500 per tonne, also subject to FOB).
