According to the Taiwan Ministry of Economy (MOEA), Taiwan's industrial production index increased by 1.97 percent month-on-month and by 22.95 percent year-on-year in June this year. Meanwhile, Taiwan's seasonally adjusted industrial production index rose 2.68 percent month-on-month and 19.89 percent year-on-year.
In the specified month, the volume of production in the country's base metals sector decreased by 6.71 percent month-on-month, while the volume of finished metal products increased by 5.43 percent. Year-on-year, the production of base metals increased by 7.43 percent, while the production of finished metal products increased by 27.90 percent.
Meanwhile, the volume of machinery and equipment production in Taiwan decreased by 1.72 percent year-on-year in June, while the volume of production in the automotive industry increased by 4.21 percent.
