Tosyalı Algerie produces the first cold-rolled products at the new complex

The Algerian steel company Tosyalı Algerie, a subsidiary of the Turkish holding Tosyalı, announced the successful production of its first pickled, oiled and cold-rolled products on its new etching and tandem cold rolling line, marking the start of production at the company's cold rolling complex.

The new complex is designed to supply high-value-added sheet steel to the automotive, household, construction, energy and advanced manufacturing industries, as well as to support the expansion of Tosyalı Algeria from the Algerian market to international markets.

As previously reported by SteelOrbis, the company began export operations in 2026 with shipments of hot-rolled products totaling 22,000 tons to Poland, Lithuania, Italy and Tunisia, generating estimated revenue of $13.5 million. During the launch, Algeria's Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion Kamel Resig stated that he would oversee the company's first cold-rolled steel export operation after the new production facilities were fully operational.
