The subsidiary of the German steel concern Salzgitter AG, Salzgitter Flachstahl GmbH, has announced the launch of TektoSal®450, a new wear-resistant special steel that customers will be able to receive in the form of strip проката.
The new steel is designed for use in conditions of intense wear.
The material is suitable for earthmoving and mining machinery, dump trucks, tanks, containers, mixer transportation systems and other parts primarily susceptible to abrasive wear. In addition, it has good weather resistance.
Salzgitter Flachstahl offers TektoSal®450 as a strip steel with a natural edge thickness of 3 to 5 mm and a width of 900 to 1500 mm. The company stated that due to its chemical composition, the material provides high weldability and bends well both longitudinally and transversely.
