According to statistics released by the French National Institute of Statistics and Economic Research (INSEE), producer prices in French industry rose by one percent month-on-month and by 4.8 percent year-on-year in August this year. Producer prices for industrial products in France rose by 0.4 percent in August compared with July and by 4.5 percent year-on-year.
This month, prices for exported industrial products remained stable, while prices for exported transport equipment decreased by 0.5 percent month-on-month. Year-on-year in August, prices for exported industrial products increased by 5.2 percent, while prices for exported transport equipment increased by 3.6 percent.
Meanwhile, import prices for industrial products in France rose 0.2 percent month-on-month in August and rose 6.3 percent year-on-year.
