Rebar exports from Turkey increased by 12.2% in January-August 2026 and accelerated the growth rate.

According to data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in August of this year, the volume of rebar exports from Turkey decreased by 2.3% month-on-month and increased by 17.0% year-on-year to 362,069 tons. The value of these exports amounted to $209.42 million, which is 2.8% less than in the previous month and 25.1% more year-on-year.

In the period from January to August 2026, rebar exports from Turkey totaled $2.99 million tons, an increase of 12.2%, while the value of these exports increased by 15.6% to $1.70 billion year-on-year.

In the first eight months of 2026, Turkey exported 546,471 tons of rebar to Yemen, which is 24.0 percent more than last year, Yemen occupies the leading position in Turkey in terms of rebar exports, ahead of Palestine, which It received 252,409 tons, which is 133.2 percent more. Palestine was followed by Peru with 179,572 million tons, an increase of 198.0% compared to the same period last year.

Compared to January-July, August data show higher cumulative annual growth rates, rising from 11.6 percent to 12.2 percent. Exports rose 17.0 percent year-on-year in August, supporting this acceleration, although shipments fell 2.3 percent from July's 370.437 to Т.
