Henrik Adam, President of the European Steel Producers Association (EUROFER), met with senior representatives of the Turkish steel industry in Istanbul to discuss the European Union's Carbon border Management Mechanism (CBAM), carbon-related costs and the changing competitive environment faced by steel producers supplying products to the European market.
The meeting, organized by the ALMAMET International Group at Istanbul's Chiragan Palace Kempinski Hotel, brought leading Turkish steel producers, industry associations, and representatives of the European steel industry together to exchange views on changing climate and trade policies, as well as the prospects for the European steel industry.
