The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) has published the final results of the administrative review of the Countervailing Duty Order (CVD) for certain hot-rolled flat steel products (hot-rolled steel) from South Korea for the period January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2023.
During the audit, it was found that Hyundai Steel Company (Hyundai Steel) and POSCO received compensatory subsidies during the period under review. The DOCTOR determined the net compensation subsidy rate is 1.28% for Hyundai Steel Company and 3.68% for POSCO.
The preliminary rate for Hyundai Steel Company was 1.28%, and for POSCO - 3.71%. The POSCO rate was revised in the final results based on changes made to the calculation of the subsidy rate in response to comments received from stakeholders.
