Trucks accounted for 97.7% of output in January-September. In September, their production reached 114,443 units, while the remaining 2,678 units, or 2.3%, accounted for passenger buses. Freightliner became the largest manufacturer in September, producing 9,064 units, followed by International with 4,477 units and Kenworth with 1,023 units. In nine months, Freightliner produced 72,668 units, which is 19.4% more than a year earlier, International — 31,416 units, an increase of 9.6%, and Kenworth — 8,328 units, an increase of 28,3%.
In September, Mexico exported 12,707 heavy trucks, which is 144.55% more than the 5,196 units shipped abroad in the same month of 2025. Exports in the first nine months of this year amounted to 98,394 units, an increase of 12.05% compared to the same period last year. The main focus was the United States, which accounted for 92.5% of the total volume, or 90,967 units. This is followed by Canada with 4,489 units and Colombia with 1,861 units. In September, Freightliner exported 8,467 units, International — 4,015, and Kenworth — 225.
In the domestic market, retail sales of heavy trucks totaled 2,980 units in September, down 11.26% year-on-year, while wholesale sales increased by 17.94% and reached 2,965 units. From January to September, retail sales decreased by 17.47% to 25,289 units, while wholesale sales, on the contrary, increased by 8.24% to 23,556 units.
