The Chinese Ministry of Finance and the State Tax Administration announced that from April 1, 2027, the VAT export discount rate for new energy vehicles will be reduced from 13% to 9%.
According to industry analysts, this measure is aimed at curbing price competition in exports, stimulating industry consolidation through the survival of the fittest players, supporting industrial modernization and accelerating the transition from exporting products to exporting production facilities.
