The main export destination for HDG from the United States in August was Mexico, where 64,579 tons were shipped. For comparison, in July, the volume of supplies to this country amounted to 69,064 million tons, and in August last year — 57,191 million tons. Canada came in second place with 37,754 million tons. In August, there were no other significant HDG export destinations from the United States — with a volume of 1,000 tons or more.
HD exports from the USA in August 2026 decreased by 3.4% compared to July
In August, exports of hot-dip galvanized (HDG) sheets from the United States totaled 102,725 tons, according to the U.S. Department of Commerce. This is 3.4% less than in July and 1.0% more than in August last year. In value terms, HDG shipments reached $158.1 million in August, compared to $160.9 million a month earlier and $148.8 million in the same month last year.
