Between January and September of this year, passenger car production and sales in China totaled 19.966 million units and 19.96 million units, respectively, down 6.0% and 6.1% year-on-year, respectively.
In September alone, passenger car production and sales in China totaled 2.626 million units and 2.588 million units, respectively, down 9.4% and 9.5% year-on-year, with an increase of 10.9% and 8.6% month-on-month, respectively.
In the first nine months of this year, Chinese passenger car exports totaled 7.167 million units, an increase of 70.6% year-on-year.
In September, Chinese exports of passenger cars totaled 919,000 units, up 3.2% month-on-month and 64.2% year-on-year.
