Evraz carried out the first supply of innovative rails

Evraz ZSMK announced that the rails launched into mass production with hardened heads of the P65 DT-350, at present, have already been shipped by Russian Railways in a volume of 10,000 tons with a length of 25 meters. The new rails released by Evraz are designed for the Gorky, North and October Railways.

Certificate of compliance with R65 DT-350 rails with hardened heads up to 100 meters long, issued by the certification register by rail, allowed Evraz to launch production of products, which is unique in the Russian market.

Rails 25 meters long, produced on Evraz have a longer life cycle than analogues, which reduces the amount of repair work. This contributes to the uninterrupted operation of the railways using this product, which, in turn, ensures the improvement of transport infrastructure as a whole.

In 2014, Russian Railways plans to pave the way for which new 100 meter rails using differentiated hardening technology will be used. This technology is in high demand in Europe, and now Evraz is conducting a dialogue with European companies considering the possibility of acquiring rails of Evraz.
