USINAS Siderórgicas, the largest flat rental manufacturer in Brazil, is negotiating with domestic distributors, in order to increase prices for slabs, pipes and galvanized products in January. Usiminas refused to publicly confirm any increase in prices.
From reliable sources, it is known that USMINAS has not officially announced plans for a possible average increase in prices by 6 percent. CIA Siderurgica Nacional SA (CSN), the second steel of Brazil on flat rental, also seeks to realize the price increase, as reported by sources that are not authorized to act publicly on this issue.
The price of prices for prices, as a rule, is encouraged by steel factories that have fought with various factors in recent years. Among them: excess capacity, weak world prices, rising coal prices and other raw materials, as well as internal oversaturation - all this painfully affects the factories of the largest economy of the country of Latin America.
The prospects for further strong pricing, both in USMINAS and, and CSN, this year strengthened shares by 12 and 29 percent, respectively. Higher prices will provide the best earnings to both companies. Further price increase should also enhance internal activity and demand in the industry.
For Brazil metallurgists, probably an excess of production capacities should be reduced as the latest government plans to revive the country's economy and metallurgy in particular will be carried out.
