Steel production in Iran over 8 months has grown by 9 percent

According to statistics, the volume of production steel in Iran in the first eight months of the Iranian calendar year (March 21 - November 21) increased by 9 percent to 10 million 550 thousand tons. It is reported by Yeh.corp.

The three largest manufacturers of Iran Mobarakeh Steel, Khouzestan Steel and Esfahan Steel smelted 3 million 860 thousand tons, 2 million 460 thousand tons and 1 million 380 thousand tons, respectively.

In the indicated period, the production of finished rental in Iran amounted to 11 million 120 thousand tons.

According to WorldSteel World Metallurgical Association, the production of unrefined steel in Iran amounted to 14 million 100 thousand tons in January - November 2013, increasing by 6 percent in annual terms.
