The chairman of Jindal Steel and Power limited (JSPL) Nevin Dzhindal at a meeting with Kishor Mohapatra, chief secretary of Odisha, discussed the further development of the JSPL Angul plant. Navin Dzhindal said that the plant was ready to commission at the end of January 2014.

Angul integrated steel plant, which was previously planned to be put into operation by the end of September, and was later transferred to December 2013. Speaking to the media, Navin Dzhindal confirmed that the Angul JSPL plant will be commissioned at the end of January 2014. Nevertheless, the camp capable of renting a five -meter width with a capacity of 1.2 million tons per year has already begun production. He is able to produce the widest plates in the country. In addition, the Captive Power Plant power station with a capacity of 810 MW has also been commissioned.

Navin Dzhindal added that "we had a very productive meeting with the chief secretary of Odisha regarding the effectiveness of the Angul steel project. The project is already working in accordance with the scheduled schedule. But the plant with unique technology will be commissioned only at the end of January."
