According to the operational data of the Association of Metallurgprom enterprises, Ukrainian metallurgical plants in the past, 2013, melted 32 million 684 thousand tons of steel, which is 1 percent more than in 2012, when about 32 million 390 thousand tons were obtained. In addition, Ukrainian metallurgists over the year increased the production of cast iron by 2 percent - up to 29 million 111 thousand tons and were able to maintain the production of finished rental at the level of last year - 29 million 38 thousand tons.
As previously reported, Ukraine was going to finish 2013 growth in production steel 6 percent, metal rolling planned to produce 6.5 percent higher than 2012 and cast iron thought to melt 5 percent more. However, a huge dependence on exports and unwillingness to modernize obsolete metallurgical capacities, as well as the domestic market destroyed by monopolization, did not allow the dreams of oligarchs.
Recall that in 2012, Ukraine reduced the production of steel by 7 percent, metal rolling - by 9 percent and the production of cast iron reduced by 1 percent. As a result, metallurgists begged state support and significant benefits, which, as they can see, did not give any results.
Ukraine increased the production of steel in 2013 by 1 percent
