The northwestern pipe company, a leading manufacturer of welded steel pipes and pipe products, announced that it purchased the Permelok corporation, a steel pipes manufacturer using the patented Permalok pipes connection system.
The Permlok pipes blocking and accession system complements and expands the proposals of the North-Western pipe company, providing alternative joint solutions for their already full product line. The company offers products for the infrastructure of water supply and sewage, including pipelines for energy, tunnels, river transitions, industry, construction and agricultural facilities.
The acquisition also strengthens the Water Transmission business with northwest pipe using rental and steel welded pipe products of Permlok, which is currently used in testless applications. The North-Western pipe company sees opportunities for expansion in other segments, such as structural pipes for industrial and commercial water transfer.
The President and Chief Executive Director of the North-Western Pipe Company Scott Montross says: “With the acquisition of Permelok, we have the opportunity to even better satisfy the requirements of our customers, expanding the proposed products. In addition, we believe that the Permelok product has a wide market potential, offering a lower cost of solutions compared to the products existing on the market.”
The Permelok team will continue to work at its production facilities in St. Louis and Salt Lake City, but from the present moment it will begin to conduct business as Permlok Corp as part of a north-west pipe company.
