According to the results of 2013, the Donetsk Metallurgical Plant (DMZ) of the Donetskstal group increased the production of cast iron by 5.3 percent compared to 2012. In addition, the enterprise resumed the production of finished rental after stopping the leaf -rolling camp in April 2013.
According to DMZ, the production of metal rolling here amounted to 32 thousand 500 tons over the past year, while in 2012 its release reached 157 thousand tons. Steel smelting, which was also stopped in April last year as part of a folding of domestic production, was never resumed.
Recall that in 2013, the Donetskstal group decided to eliminate domestic production and instead starting the release of electric stalis on the new arc furnace DSP-150. In addition to the furnace, the new electric steel complex will include a shredder machine for grinding scrap metal and an updated continuous casting machine (MNLZ).
Earlier it was reported that the DMZ in 2012 reduced the production of steel by 63.2 percent - to 156 thousand 900 tons and increased the production of cast iron by 8.1 percent to 1 million 310 thousand tons.
