Unsistered. Record levels of commodity residues on Ukrainian power plants

Неподрасчитали. На украинских меткомбинатах рекордные уровни товарных остатков
According to the State Enterprise "Ukrpromvneshekspertiza", warehouses at the country's metallurgical plants over the past month have sharply increased and have reached maximum values over the past 5 years. At the same time, the number of unsold rental in the ports of Ukraine increased by 27 percent. Such data was voiced by the deputy head of the analytical department of Ukrpromvneshekspertiza Pavel Peronos.

According to experts, the rapid growth of stocks is associated with imprisonment in foreign markets and its complete absence in the domestic one. The metallurgists significantly increased the production of steel in November - December 2013 counting on the seasonal surge in business activity and were sure that Ukrainian consumers would begin to buy metal products in early January, as it was last year. However, the metal traders refused to finance the New Year's quirks of the oligarchs and, according to Perokonos, "took a tough position, refusing to take the risks of reducing current assets and the growth of reserves at the end of the financial year."

In external, traditional sales markets of Ukrainian metal products, intermediaries with which there are sales units of metallurgical companies, they decided to bring down prices. They “decided to artificially reduce demand and thus achieve a drop in prices in order to recapture the losses incurred by them in the first quarter of last year,” said Sergey Grishchenko, vice-president of the Ukrainian Association of Brack Metallurgy Enterprises.

At some enterprises of the steel industry of Ukraine, according to Grishchenko, a situation of real lack of working capital may develop. And even if the situation straightens closer to spring due to prices in the international market, this may not have the proper positive effect on Ukrainian traffic products, as they implement rental through intermediaries who dictate their conditions.
