Tata Steel has opened the largest center for profiling steel sheet in the Ust-Midlands in the UK, increasing its existing plate processing potential, 50 percent in the region.
The new center turns steel plates into many shapes and processed components for off-road wheels of vehicles and earthwear, large individual components of construction projects and further special engineering solutions. The object worth 3.1 million euros provides a step -to -rate change in Tata Steel supplied, bringing to the exact size, shape and quality requirements. The capacity of the center will be increased to 47 thousand tons per year.
Paul Style, the managing director of Tata Steel Distribution of Great Britain and Ireland, said: "This investment is one of many who strengthen the Steelpark position as one of the key production foundations of the UK. We will transform the largest metallurgical service centers in the UK, which are fully concentrated on certain tasks."
The further development of Tata Steel facilities makes it possible to process the plates, offering a full set, taking into account the services to satisfy the specific requirements of customers. The service center will provide direct contact with the customer and reduce the delivery time of products, which allows Tata Steel to offer a number of advantages for customers in various fields of human activity, including more consistency in quality matters and a single approval point when fulfilling the order in full.
