Luxurious resort in Spain will swim on steel ArcelorMittal

About 1,200 tons of steel plates produced in Hikhon at the facility of ArcelorMittal in Spain will be used to embody a unique project of a floating luxurious resort, which will soon travel along the coast of Lebanon.

A self -propelled floating resort is 74 meters long, 47 meters wide and 36.7 meters high will be represented by a five -star hotel with 62 standard rooms and luxury, 70 rooms will be overlooking the sea bottom. A restaurant will be located on the roof that can place 300 people, and the main deck is capable of seating 1,200 people, and many other convenience for relaxation are also planned at the resort.

Since the beginning of 2013, 1,200 tons of plates have been delivered to the client of the Beirut International Company of the Marine Industry and Trade SARL and are currently used to create an underwater structure, which will be the basis of the resort. The client chose the S355G8 class steel, which is highly resistant to corrosion in salt water.

The required 130 tons have already been ordered by the client and will be delivered in early 2014. Marco injenram, who is responsible for the commercial coordination of this project, said that “there are also other opportunities for us in this project and we hope that our partnership will expand.
