China activates the fight against pollutants of steel

New Wuan Iron and Steel Group, the largest private steel company Habei Province in China, should reduce its capacity to 8 million tons by 2017. The reduction of more than 50 percent of its products in 2013 indicates major changes in the country's steel industry.

New Wuan was born in the beginning of 2006 as a result of the merger of 18 small steel plants in the province of Hebei, and now get ready to go under the knife. "We will close some plants and suspend poor -quality services," said the chairman of the company's board.

Tanshan Steel, also located in Habei province, is aimed at turning off 40 million tons of production by 2017 from its mark of 81 million tons in 2012.

To combat the serious problem of Snog, the Central Government of China instructed the municipalities of Habei and neighboring provinces to reduce their potential by the end of 2017 by 60 million tons for Hebei, by 6.7 million tons for the Shanxi Province and 22.57 million tons for the Shandun province. Tianjin should provide a reduction in at least 20 million tons.

Under the leadership of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technologies, the Government of the Hebay province promised to reduce the capacity of 60 million tons by 2017 and another 26 million tons by 2020. Shandong province is also a major center for steel production and needs to reduce specific volumes by 2015.
