In 2014, Ukrainian metallurgical companies plan what until recently it was considered truly impossible, namely, an increase in the volume of steel smelting and rental production.
In particular, the volume of smelting the first is planned to be increased by 6 percent, while the volume of production of the second is planned to be increased by 5 percent.
All this naturally should lead to the fact that in 2014 the production of steel in Ukraine should grow from 32.6 to 34.5 million metric tons, while the rental production should increase to 30.5 million metric tons.
The participants of the Ukrainian metallurgy market associate such optimistic expectations with the restoration of demand for metal products in the EU countries, as well as in the Middle East and in the countries of Maghreb. So, compared to last 2013, in 2014, the volume of supply of metal products to the European Union is planned to be increased by 10 percent.
At the same time, the number of orders for the supply of rental and became in the Middle East and to the countries of North Africa it is planned to increase 7-8 percent.
Recall that to increase demand steel and rental in the EU countries, the Middle East, as well as North Africa, there are every reason. Thus, the European economy managed to cope with the six-year recession, and in the Middle East and in the countries of Maghreb, conflicts finally subsided and political instability decreased.
As a result of this, in the above regions there is an increase in demand for steel and rental. Basically, the need for the latter began to be observed in the construction and industrial industries.
And in conclusion, it is worth noting that an increase in the demand for metrics is not only a regional, but also a global trend. So, in 2014, world consumption of steel products should increase by 3.3 percent, reaching 1.52 billion metric tons.
