Gonvarri Steel Services acquires 51% of shares in Turkish company Cepas

Gonvarri Steel Services, a leader in metalworking service centers, has acquired 51 percent of the Turkish company Cepas. Cepas was founded in 2003 and has a strong presence in the Turkish market in the construction and road infrastructure construction sectors.

With this acquisition, Gonvarri Steel Services (GSS) is establishing its commitment to the Turkish market. Thanks to the Cepas plant in Turkey, GSS will be able to be present on the European market with hot-dip galvanized products, steel structures, road fences, power line poles, with a special focus on Eastern Europe and Germany, the Middle East and North Africa.

With the new production facility, Gonvarri Steel Services will have a total of 26 steel service centers located in 14 different countries. The company's strategy in the steel processing business is based on the development of high value added products and services. This allows the company to forge closer relationships with its customers in five main divisions: Automotive, Road Safety, Industry, Home Appliances, and Solar Power.
