Freyja Resources announced that it has completed the first phase of its exploration program at the recently acquired Las Cristinas copper-silver mine located in northeastern Chihuahua state in Mexico.
The campaign plans to start drilling immediately after receiving a drilling permit, which is expected to be issued by the end of March 2014. The campaign will focus on copper oxide mining, as well as to test underground copper sulphide reserves.
The Las Cristinas project includes four contiguous exploration sites that cover 683 hectares in northeastern Mexico in east-central Chihuahua.
The project is taking place in the heart of the Chorreras mineralized region, an area that contains numerous deposits of iron, gold, silver, copper and zinc in epithermal and mesothermal deposits.
Chihuahua City has a private and international airport, rail links and skilled workers. It is an important mining center. There are several small communities within 30 km from the project, these communities can provide workers for the implementation of the project. Las Cristinas is easily two hours away from the settlements where there is water and electricity in the immediate vicinity.
Freyja Resources Inc is an oil and gas company operating under the "FRA" symbol. It conducts its main operations through its subsidiary Cyprium, whose main activity is exploration for minerals exclusively in Northern Mexico. The main project of the company is the Las Cristinas copper-silver project.
