Turkey's steel production in 2014 may increase by 8 percent compared to 2013. This forecast was announced by the Turkish Metallurgical Association TCUD.
According to preliminary data, Turkish steel production this year will reach 37.5 million tons. The main reasons for such a sharp growth in TCUD are the positive dynamics of the global economy and significant government investment in the country's infrastructure.
Recall that according to the results of 2013, according to the data of the World Steel Association Worldsteel, the production of crude steel in Turkey decreased by 3.4 percent - to 34 million 650 thousand tons, which, nevertheless, allowed it to enter the 8th line of the world ten leaders steel industry.
