In January 2014, steel production at Zaporizhstal Iron and Steel Works increased compared to January 2013 by 2.3 percent to 336.6 thousand tons, pig iron - by 1.7 percent to 283.8 thousand tons and rolled metal - by 3 , 9 percent to 293.4 thousand tons.
“In 2014, we plan to continue to grow in all key production indicators, to improve the efficiency of our company. And the money that we will be able to earn additionally due to the increase in efficiency, we will first of all use for the ecological modernization of our enterprise and for raising the social standards for our employees, ”said Rostislav Shurma, General Director of the Zaporizhstal plant.
