Following the approval of Interpipe as a supplier for projects of Iraq's largest national company SOC last year, its cooperation with the Ministry of Oil in the Republic of Iraq continues to expand. One of the steps to develop this partnership was the organization of a conference for more than 100 representatives of the Ministry of Oil and the largest state-owned oil and gas companies.
Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Iraq Anatoly Marinets supported the conference, stressing that further development of cooperation between Ukrainian and Iraqi companies will have a positive impact on the prospects for business relations between the two countries.
During meetings with Iraqi Oil Minister Hassan Fayyad Nima and his deputies, as well as heads of several oil and gas companies, top Iraqi officials expressed strong interest in Interpipe as one of the approved pipe suppliers for state oil companies. As a result of a lengthy audit of Interpipe assets, the company was certified by the South Oil Company and received the right to participate in local tenders.
Andrey Burtsev, Interpipe's Regional Sales Director for the Middle East, said that “Iraq is one of the leading oil producers in the world. The country has a growing demand for OCTG pipe as well as pipe products for pipelines. The Republic of Iraq marks another milestone for Interpipe in realizing its plans to establish a stronger presence in the country. "
