According to the press service of the Mariupol Metallurgical Plant named after Ilyich, on February 8, a gasman died in the process of examining the valve of the blast furnace stove.
The death of the worker was ascertained by the doctors who arrived at the scene.
According to the press service, the deceased worker did not use his personal protective equipment, as a result of which he received blast-furnace gas poisoning.
The company has created and is working a commission to investigate the causes and circumstances of the incident.
Recall that in February 2012, in the boiler room of the heat-and-power plant of the Ilyich plant, as a result of an accident from blast-furnace gas poisoning, three people died and eight were injured.
