Steel production at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih in January 2014 decreased by 30 percent

In January 2014, the Kryvyi Rih Metallurgical Plant of PJSC ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih melted 375,500 tons of steel, which is 30 percent less than in January 2013. The production of finished rolled products decreased by 28.8 percent, and the production of pig iron - by 29.5 percent.

Such a sharp decline in production at the metallurgical plant was explained by a large number of repair work.

He specified that blast furnace No. 9, which is the largest metallurgical unit of the metallurgical plant, was shut down in early January. In addition, on January 24, 2014, the scheduled repairs of the rotary kiln No. 5 of the refractory-lime shop began.
