A worker died at the Yenakiyevo Metallurgical Plant

On February 12, a worker died at the foundry of the Yenakiyevo Metallurgical Plant of Metinvest. Plumber, born in 1960, was found dead in a trough with the remains of hot smelting products by a team of repairmen carrying out work on the territory of the foundry yard.

The deceased participated in the work on the repair of equipment in another section of the workshop, at the time of the incident was on a lunch break. According to witnesses, the victim left the oven control panel with tea during the break. Later, his body was found in a chute with the remains of hot smelting products by a team of repairmen working on the territory of the foundry yard.

The prosecutor's office of the city of Yenakiyevo organized an inspection, representatives of the investigative body arrived at the enterprise, and upon completion of the inspection, a procedural decision will be made.

The factory commission for the investigation of an industrial accident began its work. In addition, employees of the labor inspectorate conduct their checks.

Recall that on February 8, a gas worker was killed at another metallurgical plant of Metinvest in the city of Mariupol, who was poisoned by blast furnace gas. In connection with this incident, the Ilyich Combine of Metinvest Group is canceling the celebrations on the occasion of the 117th anniversary of the enterprise.
