Steel demand in Europe is gaining momentum, especially in the southern and eastern part of the EU, but prices remain low. This statement was made by the financial director of the largest metallurgical company in Germany, ThyssenKrupp.
“The expansion in sales looks very good for the European market. But there is still high pressure on prices. We hope that the situation will soon improve, ”Guido Kerkhoff told reporters after the company's quarterly report was presented on Friday.
