Mariupol plant named after Ilyich carried out more than 200 major overhauls

The financial costs of PJSC Ilyich Metallurgical Plant named after Ilyich PJSC of Metinvest Group for major overhauls and renovation of production facilities in 2013 exceeded UAH 300 million. This was reported by the press service of the MMK im. Ilyich.

In total, over the past year at the Ilyich plant, more than 200 major overhauls were performed, including work on sintering machines No. 7 and No. 9 of the sinter plant, restoration work on furnaces No. 3 and No. 4 of the blast furnace shop, large-scale overhaul of converter No. 3 and No. 2, CCM No. 1 and # 3.

“Ensuring the reliability and safety of equipment operation is one of the main factors for increasing production efficiency for us. That is why Metinvest Group, despite serious difficulties in the industry, not only does not reduce investments in capital repairs, but also increases the volume of financing in this most important area of ​​activity, ”said Yuri Zinchenko, General Director of Ilyich Iron and Steel Works.

The next year, MMK im. Ilyich outlined an even more ambitious program of renovation of production facilities, estimated by the company's economists at 402 million hryvnia.
