Anti-dumping duties imposed on Interpipe pipes in the USA

The US Department of Commerce has announced a preliminary decision on the anti-dumping investigation. According to the decree of the Ministry, a preliminary anti-dumping duty is set for the import of oil and gas pipes from Ukraine. Thus, starting February 18, Interpipe will supply pipes to the United States with a duty of 5.31%.

The level of duties announced by the Ministry of Commerce on the import of pipes from a number of countries is a preliminary decision on an anti-dumping investigation, which began in July 2013, against pipe manufacturers from the Philippines, India, Korea, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, Vietnam and Ukraine. The final decision on the case will be announced tentatively on August 15, 2014.

Interpipe continues to cooperate with the US authorities in the anti-dumping investigation.

The duties stemmed from an investigation launched in the United States in July 2013 against pipe manufacturers from the Philippines, India, Korea, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, Vietnam and Ukraine.

The final decision on the case will be announced approximately on August 15th.
