On February 24, 2014, the general director of OJSC "Turboatom" Viktor Subbotin wrote an application to leave the "Party of Regions". This was reported by the press service of the company headed by him.
It is known that Turboatom employees were among the most active participants in various rallies in support of the Party of Regions in Kharkiv.
Viktor Subbotin supported Viktor Yanukovych's policy of rapprochement with the Russian Federation and the Customs Union.
OJSC "Turboatom" ended 2013 with a net profit of UAH 583 million. Income from sales of products for 2013 amounted to UAH 1924 million, with a growth rate against the corresponding period of 2012 - 137 percent.
