Vladimir Semenovich Boyko, Chairman of the Board, General Director of OJSC MMK named after Ilyich held a meeting with the team of the press center of the plant and Mariupol television. Without unnecessary predictions at the invoice, the first head of the enterprise answered the questions of journalists who concerned the most relevant and topical topics - the return of the VAT debt, the possibility of increasing wages to the employees of the plant, financing current and overhaul, and many others.

Since the beginning of the current year, the volume of production has increased significantly, at the same time, non -return to our VAT enterprise does not allow you to increase wages. What way do you see from this situation?

Such a situation, as today at the plant, during the independence of Ukraine has not yet been. Due to non -return of VAT, 1 billion 700 million UAH has already been distracted from the turnover, and our duty for raw materials and materials, including coke, ore, concentrate, gas approached 1 billion UAH. The plant has a large margin of safety, but no one knows what the state will still come up with. I understand that the wages must be raised, but today, when we experience an acute deficit of working capital, unfortunately, we are not faced with the question: to increase or not increase the salary. The question is posed differently: how to calculate the funds so that there is enough money for today's salary. Compared to any other met enterprise of Ukraine, we carry a tremendous social burden: for example, with the same volume of production at the Ilyich and Azovstal plant, the number of workers we have 47 thousand people, our neighbors have 15.6 thousand ”(an additional load on the enterprise began to be agricultural - greenhouses." It is very difficult to resist the swimming deficiency, it is very difficult to resist, it is very difficult. Nevertheless, if the state returned VAT monthly, and the suppliers of raw materials would not dictate their conditions and prices within Ukraine, primarily for ore and concentrate, we would already be able to reach the level of salary that we had in the pre -crisis in 2008.
