According to the State Committee for Statistics of Ukraine, production steel in our country in January-April decreased by 4.7%.
In the first four months, 11.127 million tons of steel were produced - 4.7% less than in the same period last year. The release of cast iron in the country increased in the reporting period by 0.6% in annual calculus, amounting to 9.604 million tons.
In April, 2.951 million tons of steel were produced in Ukraine - 1.9% less than in April 2011, but 1.5% more than in March of this year.
