Azovstal reported on its actions during adverse climatic conditions

The climatic conditions under which the concentration of dust and gas in the air of Mariupol increases several times, recently they call NMU (adverse climatic conditions). The reports of the main pollutants of our airspace - Azovstal and the name of Ilyich became a good tradition.

In our city from May 4 to 7 there were just these NMUs, and even the first degree. The Azovstal plant, through its press service, reported on the events held:

During the reporting period, the work of technological units was dispersed in time, with their stop at the planning and preventive repairs.

In order to reduce the load on the environment in the blast furnace, the spill machine No. 6 was brought into the reserve, the repair of air heaters No. 10, 15, 19. The work of the hammer crusher was reduced in the agglomeration workshop. In the coaling workshop, the operation of the coal loader of the first and second blocks was suspended. In the CPMS, the operation of the installation of AMS No. 2 was suspended. In the TPP for the repair, boilers No. 2, 4 were stopped. In the coke workshop, graphs of delivery and loading of furnaces were shifted for an average of 2 hours, so that out of 6 cok batteries, the delivery and loading were carried out on 4 batteries.

The control of the specialists of the units and the environmental service of the plant for the exact compliance of the technological regulations of production is strengthened, loading and unloading work related to dust and gas emission is limited. The uninterrupted operation of all dust -preparations and their individual elements is ensured. It is prohibited by purging and cleaning of equipment and gas traders, as well as loading and unloading work associated with significant ardor.

As a result of the actions taken from May 4 to 7, the decrease in emissions was about 200 tons.
