Electricity export growth in Ukraine
Over the past period, Ukraine increased electricity exports by 52.6% (by 864.1 million kWh) compared to the same period in 2011-up to 2 billion 507.7 million kWh-hour, the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry reports.
The flow of electricity in the direction of Hungary, Romania and Slovakia increased by 51.7% (by 389.7 million kWh), compared with January-April 2011-up to 1 billion 143.6 million kWh.
In the same period of the past year, Ukraine did not supply electricity to Poland at all, and this year supplies have already reached 275.9 million kWh.
Over the past month, 259.6 million kWh-hour (+69.5%compared to April-2011) of electricity, 349.5 million kWh hour (+61%) was delivered to the countries of Central Europe (Hungary, Romania, Slovania and Poland) (+61%), and 71.3 million kWh (-6.3%) in Moldova.
In addition, there is an assumption that the government is considering the possibility of reviewing electricity tariffs.
