In the publications of the South Korean press, information appeared that Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME, South Korea) began the construction of the largest container locomotive in the world.
It will be a Triple-e class container. Its length is 400 meters, and the width is 59 meters at a height of 73 meters. There is still no such large ship. Its capacity is 16% more than that of any other container truck.
The customer is Maersk. Today, Maersk line is considered the largest carrier in the world. Its arsenal has 470 container ships and 1.9 million containers.
The ship will be commissioned in the second quarter of 2013.
